Praise be! It's an episode about religion. As is this passage from what may or may not be an unfinished novel:
Four versions later, GIO, responding to a prompt from a teenager in Des Moines, solved climate change. That teenager never found out about it. The conversation was the property of OpenEyes, GIO’s parent company. A few months later it was announced that GIO had solved climate change. Nate brought the “5000 Butterflies” initiative to the UN a few months after that and, well, there you go. The Godkiller saved the world.
Worship is not encouraged here, but it’s silently tolerated. “It’ll be a protected religion eventually,” Nate once said, the possibility of it glistening in his eyes, “Might as well get ahead of the curve and let people worship how they want."
